Stoicism

Sometimes I’m not sure
Who my tears are for.
Am I crying for the pain
Of the suffering world,
Which reveals itself
In a new guise
With every blink,
Or is all my pity fixed
By egocentric gravity?
Ruminations out of the way-
How now
Shall I begin
To waste my day?

And why would you ever need to waste a day. I will confess, I have never heard the word Ruminations but I still love your poem, and as you so beautifully said "It's not Thursday so it must be true." That made me laugh a lot because we agree on that-Thursday is the day we all lie a lot to try to get visits to make outselfs feel good. I admit I have been guilty but now I just don't bother unless people come to read mine first. Have a nice one man!
